Offering great and innovative products serves nothing without a “Planet–First” mentality.

We have carefully crafted a meticulous, but also logical roadmap towards minimizing our environmental footprint.

Instead of following a “bio / organic” approach immediately, we researched our current footprint, while introducing concurrently nature-friendly habits / methods, wherever possible.

Our Global G.A.P certification (2023) is the first major step towards accreditation, but only one among many.

Starting with the origin of our trees (where we opted for the best certified Chandler variety, supplied from France), we have so far integrated the following actions:

• Electrical energy of certified RES origin
• Underground drip irrigation for max water preservation and min energy consumption
• Microorganism usage (intra-leaf (turbine-sprayed) or root-fed (underground irrigation))
• Neighbor-shared meteo-data, combined with UC-Davis Univ. software for disease prediction and thus more accurate / targeted spraying (other smart-farming tech proposals currently investigated)
• Organic recycling via cut-grass and pruned-wood remaining in the orchard
• Usage of organic fertilizers together with onsite composting of both animal and plant waste reduces the usage of industrial fertilizers.

We will by no means stop here of course. Based on our ongoing research, we are planning to introduce electrification in our pickup-truck usage, grass-cutting, edge-trimming, etc. with the next major step being the introduction of a “Drone-Sprayer”, cutting down drastically on (the already reduced) usage of plant protection additives and eliminating fossil fuel energy.

The final step towards “zero footprint” will be the introduction of next-gen fertilizers and organic insect control, applied via electrified means, leading to not only real organic farming, but to a truly “Planet–First” approach.
